Learning to weave Nantucket Baskets came from my wife's desire to have a Nantucket Lightship Basket purse she could be proud of owning. Sandy purchased an affordable lightship purse on Nantucket Island. That purse turned out to be more of a souvenir than a purse made by one of the local craftsmen. Thanks to the training and guidance of a wonderful friend, Sandy finally has her husband-made purse.
